Report: Australia plans Iraq withdrawal

With the death rate of US troops rising there are rumours that Autralian Prime Minister, John Howard is conspiring to bring back Australian Troops from war torn Iraq by February 2008. A senior military official is said to have tipped this to Sunday Telegraph as the most closely guarded secrets.
About 1,500 Australian troops are said to be in and around Iraq, as a stronghold for the U. S military presence in Iraq.
Prime Minister Howard strongly denied the report and pledged support to the U.S as long as possible.
As we can see, only military developments and changing political scenarios will determine the presence of the Australian troops and the U.S. troops. Only time will tell.
